Sven Holm (b. 1940) is an acclaimed Danish author and playwright. He is educated from the University of Copenhagen and had his literary debut in 1961 with the collection of short stories titled ‘Den store fjende’. From the mid 1960’s Holm has first and foremost lived by his authorship and furthermore by his others works as an editor, a literary critic and a literary consultant. Since 2001 Sven Holm has been a member of the Danish Academy.
