An old lady is moving into a residential home and is sitting outside of the institution, watching the furniture removers as they place all her furniture by the main entrance. A woman passes by and the old lady immediately offers her a piece of furniture. This scene is repeated a couple of times as other people pass by. The author utilizes these coincidental meetings as a thought-provoking story concerning aging, loneliness, superficiality and the relations between people and material goods surrounding them in our welfare society of today.
