During one night, two young lieutenants must submit to an old trial so that the captain can select the right candidate for the position of lieutenant in the Cavalry Regiment: They must ride 40 kilometers, drink three bottles of champagne and have a relationship with two women. It becomes a night full of entanglements, confusion and crushes when the lieutenants are involved with the leading officer, the colonel’s daughter and the priest’s twin daughters. (Cf.
