This is a black comedy about the war that lives secretly and emerges in both the man and the woman. The play is to be acted out as a comedy from the beginning to the end. The background is a very “realistic”, enormous hospital set, hidden near a military base somewhere in southern Greenland. The purpose and usage of this place is hidden in myths, lies and political self-delusion. It all takes place during the ending of the Korean War and deals with the stories of the war, the heroes, the victims, the man and the woman. These stories are applied to the individuals, like you would apply artificial limbs onto the mutilated or medals onto the soldiers. Within the marionette world of the comedy, the persons persist with the tenderness, insanity and despair which constitute the core in every dark comedy.
