Lukas Bärfuss

Lukas Bärfuss is born in 1971 in Thun and is one of the most popular young dramatists in Switzerland. After finishing school he took various jobs, among which he worked in a book shop. Since 1997, after his debut novel DIE TOTEN MÄNNER came out, he has solely earned his living as a writer.
Together with the director, Samuel Schwarz, he founded the theatre Group 400asa and subsequently, the play MEDEÄÄ – 214 BILDBESCHREIBUNGEN was very well received at the Impulse 2000 in Mühlheim. His second play, after MEIENBERGS TOD, DIE SEXUELLEN NEUROSEN UNSERER ELTERN was written on commission for Theatre Basel.
