The casual laborer and daydreamer, Tony, faces a highly unusual accident: After having climbed up in a dumpster, hoping to find something good, a big box of books falls into his head. The content of the books takes residence in his brain, and he ends up in a psychiatric ward, where doctors, patients, and not least his girlfriend, Lisa, are trying to understand him and not to mention themselves.
