Theresia Walser (b. 1967) is a German playwright and daughter of the writer and debater Martin Walser. From 1990-94 she studied at the University of Theatre and Music in Bern, Switzerland, afterwards she joined the actors ensemble at Junges Theatre in Göttingen. In 1996 she wrote her first play Das Restpaar and was announced as the best young dramatists of the year by Theatre Heute. Theresia Walser is one of Germany’s most played dramatist, her plays are translated into several different languages and are staged all over Europe.
