Samuel Adamson was Pearson Television Writer in Residence at the Bush Theatre, London, in 1997/8 and taught Dramatic Writing at Duke University, North Carolina, in 2000. His plays include CLOCKS AND WHISTLES (Bush Theatre, London), GRACE NOTE (Peter Hall Company/Old Vic Theatre, London), DRINK, DANCE, LAUGH AND LIE (Bush/Channel 4), TOMORROW WEEK (Catherine Bailey Ltd/BBC Radio 3), THE PLAYHOUSEKEEPERS (Private Drama/Globe, 2002); as well as new versions of Chekhov's THREE SISTERS (Oxford Stage Company/Whitehall Theatre), THE CHERRY ORCHARD (Oxford Stage Company/Riverside Studios) and Ibsen's A DOLL'S HOUSE.
