In “Verletzte Jugend” Richter uses “Unter Eis” for making a contrast study of three hard-working and efficient men. The story is played out as a long nightly gathering between three friends, who meet in their old apartment, where they once to lived together. What has happened to all their dreams, their declarations of love and Utopian ideas? What will happen, when the youth bonus runs out and the life as an adult refuses to set in? The play is about the consequences of withdrawing oneself from the System, refusing to adjust to the rules of society and the marked.
