The play is a family drama about incest and abuse as being the false and dangerous understanding of familial love and closeness. Besides all the clichés the play questions the fatal glorification of the idea of the family as being the ideal form of human cohabitate. THE TATOO describes the psychological game between the victim and the person, who committed the crime, rather than the actual abuse.
