Dea Loher (b. 1964) is a German playwright. After highschool she studied German language and literature at The Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and finished her studies with a master in arts (M.A.). Afterwards she moved to Berlin, where she works as a successful playwright. She has received a row of prices among others The London Royal Court Theatre’s Playwright Award, The Mühlheimer’s Dramatist Award and also the Bertolt Brecht Award.
