This is Asmussen’s radio debut in 1991. Six voices, spread over three generations (youth, middle age, old age) talking about sensations, cognition and emotions – about hate and love, jealousy and the failing belief in the meaning of existence. One of the voices belongs to a man who through a kind self-therapy is trying to evoke the image of his beloved and persuade her to return. Another voice is the voice of an old man, who is pretending to be deaf in order to avoid his familiar surroundings; this allows him to sit in the park studying the young, girls sunbathing. A third voice sees everything from the outside, describing something which is somehow a complicated series of events surrounding an attempted suicide.
