It is a harsh play, which in glimpses describes the fragile marriage of Luise and Andreas, and Luise’s relationship with Gabriel – the great immortal love of her youth. They pass life with concerts, costume balls, unreal conversations and joyless sex. The dream has become a standstill from which the characters cannot wake up, and an increasing importance is being attached to the affair with Gabriel. His voice penetrates the walls, his story sneaks into their voicemail, and when Anders is out fishing all of a sudden he is lying in the grass next to him with a fishing rod. The play is a grotesque, poetic showdown with the dilemma of modern man, a sharp poetic vision of loss of passion, loneliness in a relationship and all of the consequences which it brings with it.
