THE SUN FISH is a story about true love that challenges deep inherited prejudices and cultural differences that exist between small country side communities and the big city. The play questions man's inherent scepticism towards strangers and the unknown. Why is it so hard to accept what isn’t like oneself?
Lærke Sanderhoff received Reumert jury's special prize for THE SUNFISH in 2009 and in 2015 she won a Robert Award for her film adaptation of the script.
