A declaration of love to the theatre and the actor. The focus is on the French legend of theatre, actor Frédérick Lemaître; a popular and eccentric artist; a seducer and a revolutionary to whom nothing is too grand. He seems to be ready for it all – except love. On stage, he is surrounded by passionate love, but behind the stage, he has to pay for it.
