Drama
It is a lyrical drama and a pitch-black story which depicts the violent dissolution of a family. The story takes place in a large garden in front of an impressive country house where a wealthy married couple – Niels the business man and Janne his stay-at-home wife – have gathered the family. Grit, the eldest daughter has just returned from a spiritual sojourn in South America, while the younger daughter has turned up with her latest boyfriend. In the party is also Uffe, the eternal poet, while the wife next door and her son call in from time to time. Nevertheless, under the peaceful and sunny nature a smoldering volcano cracks the polished façade and sends the characters in a free fall while the world bursts into flames.
