Man, what kind of creature is he? In line with the successful play “Just a Moment” which focused on the woman, “Extreme” is based on the man’s situation. Asmussen’s script, which is based freely on interviews just as the woman project this time with real men, explores in pure form and contents the extreme. Here you find a number of individuals trapped in life. As “Mr Right” is undressed to the core a brutal landscape of loneliness, violence, hatred and crying unfolds. Slowly the small, thin flakes of hope crack, and what remains is the individual in all its inability to live. One man has been deserted by his beloved, and he is contemplating suicide: one man takes care of his aging mother and is consumed of his hatred of her: one man has beaten his wife and children to death; one man is being kept hostage … Everybody finds themselves in a state of emergency psychologically or emotionally:; in extreme situations, which will forever change them and their lives.
