Tommy Albright and Jeff Douglas, two young American tourists, have lost their way while trekking in the Scottish Highlands. Then suddenly the village Brigadoon arise before them from the fog, as a godsend. Strangely, the inhabitants are all dressed in clothes from the 18th century and among them, Tommy meets Fiona and Jeff befriends the servant Meg. However, when they are told that the village is cursed and therefore only awakes for one day every 100 years, they decide to return to New York. Before long though, Tommy finally succumbs to his strong memories of Fiona and finds his way back to Brigadoon.
