Rebecca Gilman

The Chicago based playwright, Gilman, appeared on the American scene during the nineties with the sharp thriller THE GLORY OF LIVING, which concerns a couple of sociopaths, travelling in the name of murder. Among her other plays, one finds BOY GETS GIRL, SPINNING INTO BUTTER and THE AMERICAN IN ME. Gilman has received The American Theatre Critics Association’s 1998 Osborn Award; a Joseph Jefferson Citation in 1997 and The London Evening Standard Award for Most Promising Playwright. Her plays are performed throughout most of Europe and America.
