KLEIN, which opened in London (National Theatre and West End) in 1988 and in New York in 1995; and CRESSIDA (Almeida at the Albery, 2000). Adaptations: SIX CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF AN AUTHOR (National, 1987), NAKED (Almeida, 1998 and 2001) and THREE SISTERS (National, 2003). Opera libretto: THE LITTLE PRINCE, composer Rachel Portman (Houston Grand Opera 2003). Screenplays include adaptations of novels by Patrick Hamilton, Doris Lessing, Josef Skvorecky, Armistead Maupin and Ford Madox Ford. VINCENT IN BRIXTON won the 2003 Olivier Award as Best Play.
