Kristian Lykkeslet Strømskag (b. 1980) is educated from the University of Oslo in Nordic literature followed by his studies in dramaturgy at Humboldt University in Berlin. In 2006 he made his debut as a playwright with THE MERMAID’S SON (HAVFRUENS SØNN) followed by UNCLE SAM (ONKEL SAM, 2011), FOR CONGO (TIL KONGO, 2012), TO VALHALL (TIL VALHALL, 2013), WE ARE NORWAY (VI ER NORGE, 2014) DEAR EUROPE (KJÆRE EUROPA, 2016) and FORTRESS EUROPE (FESTNING EUROPA, 2016). Alongside his dramatic work, he has worked as a dramaturge at Theatre Vårt, Rogaland Theatre, The National Stage, Kabul Theatre in Afghanistan and is currently working for the National Theatre in Oslo. Since 2014 he has been attached Dramatikkens Hus in Oslo as writer-in-residency.
