(1922-94) Writer, born in Karlsruhe, Germany. He studied English and then worked as an actor and director. He wrote successful comedies distinguished by their witty dialogue, notably KENNEN SIE DIE MILCHSTRAßE? (1955) and SEELENWANDERUNG (1963). Other works include radio and television plays, and he also adapted several modern classics for television.
