Gerz Feigenberg was born in 1956 in Copenhagen. In 1969 he moved to Israel with his family and they returned in 1971. In 1976 he graduated from his studies of Drama at university followed by a three year period from 1978 – 1981 when he trained as an actor at the Theatre School of Aarhus Theatre. He made his debut as a novelist during 1980, but during the following years he made a living first and foremost as an actor; Since 1995 he has mainly been living as a writer and partly also as a director.
