The play follows a family whose life falls apart when the father is attacked. The classmates bully the son because the father has taken the attack without making resistance. While the son and his friend, Kolya makes plans to avenge his father, the mother begins an intimate relationship with the perpetrator. Conflicts smolder in the tiny apartment, speechlessness strangles the family and the situation escalates.
