Carl leads his own life, isolated from the world. This, however, changes when a new substitute teacher arrives in Carl’s class. The exceedingly cynical and unmerciful Ulla Harms drops like a careless bomb on the otherwise well-mannered children. The sub is not just a sub – it seems that she is alien from this world! Yet, her irresistible charm is prevailing, and soon the parents redirect their doubts towards the children – whose large imaginations are loaded with too much science fiction, way too many demented video games and too many crazy movies.
