The story takes place in an old people’s home, in which three soldier veterans, Gustave, Philippe and Henri spend their time, discussing on the terrace. According to themselves they have been quite important in their active lives, but now, life seems to bore them. Something has to happen and instead of bickering and complaining about the food, they decide to arrange a grand escape from their stagnation. The play contains much subtle humour and the characters are marvellous for good actors.
