Two men, who are fans of different football teams, automatically become each others’ rivals and enemies. One is a government officer in the ministry of foreign affairs; the other is a proletarian baker. In their nightly meetings, a love-hate relationship develops between the two men, involving both physical and psychic terror. Through the play, Morti Vizki explores the suffering of the spectator, not only as a result of viewing a sporting event, but also as a result of watching life from the sidelines. The play raises the question, why does one have to play the main character in one’s own life, when one plays it badly because the part feels wrong. The text alternates between biting humor and pompous poetry as the two men desperately fight to leave the role of spectator, without knowing where else to go.
