Set in a lecture theatre where three dying people are giving a formal
presentation to a conference audience. Based on research in a hospice, it
examines the hospice philosophy and community attitudes to death and dying
through the eyes of the patients, their relatives and those who care for them
professionally. The play is stylised and based upon image rather than
conventional narrative and despite the weighty subject matter it is warm,
funny and never morbid.
