TEENAGERLOVE is a musical by Ernst Bruun Olsen and Finn Savary from 1962 with popsinger Billy Jack as the main character. It is based on a critique of the entertainment industry's power in the welfare state. A pop star rejects his "teenage love" Maggi for a plastic maker's daughter whose money can help prolong singing career. The musical is a direct and highly modern indictment of the society who for economic reasons put the entertainment industry and tyrannical stupidity of the people in the system. The lie is the most important factor in human life. The play is a biting satire on the pop music and success mentality of the contemporary glimmer world where death and loneliness are lurking behind the surface. The Royal Theatre's production was one of the 60’es most successful musical productions in Denmark
