An intelligent and fragmented relation drama about seduction and marital pitfalls. In the centre of this high voltage labyrinth, we are faced with a mystery: A woman has disappeared. Surrounding this is a group of people with shattered relations, searching for something else. In the beginning of the play we meet the married couples Pete/Jane and Leon/Sonja. Pete meets Sonja in a bar and they go to a cheap motel whilst Leon and Jane meet under the same circumstances – double infidelity. These meetings set off a carrousel that will change the lives of several people. The play is a longing erotic outlet, which in its changing chronology and its usage of images from both the past and the future, is similar to a cinematic jig saw puzzle drama with detached stories. Not surprisingly, the Australian author Andrew Bowell has worked with film. This play was made into a film in 2001, titled “Lantana” – a film which has been compared to films such as “Short Cuts” and “Magnolia”.
