SONG OF SINGAPORE is an ironic cabaret re-creation of the 1941 harbour bars of Singapore. From the moment people enter Freddy S Lime’s night club, they are taken back to the lively days when the music kept playing as the Japanese conquerors drew nearer. The plot is a wonderful parody on the films of the time, such as CASABLANCA and THE MALTESE FALSON, and the music is magnificent.
