SOMETHING CLOUDY, SOMETHING CLEAR is an autobiographical play about a young playwrights experiences during the summer of 1940. The playwright August has left for Cape Cod, Massachusetts, to finish his first Broadway play. He meets the Canadian dancer Kip Kiernan and the two men start a relationship. August must acknowledge his own homosexuality but it turns out that his feelings for Kip are not reciprocated.
