An adaptation of Orhan Pamuk’s novel. On a cold and snowy winter night, the aspiring poet and journalist, Ka, returns to his hometown, Karlsberg. It has come to his attention that his childhood sweetheart, Silk, has been divorced and now he hopes to be able to start a new life with the woman he still loves. However, in the city, a conflict between non-believers and a growing group of people who have converted to Islam is exploding. As the situation heats up, Ka’s homecoming takes an unexpected turn as we follow his struggle to hold on together to himself and his hope for love in a city that’s in a dramatic change.
