Doris and George, both happily married with each their individual partner, meet and get along so well that they decide to meet again the following year at the same time. Again it becomes a success and so they decide to meet annually on that very same date of their initial meeting. The audience are let in on their union every fifth year for the next 25 years from 1951 till 1975. It is a wonderful, warm, compassionate and quick-witted play, surprising with most entertaining and ironic comments about topics in America.
