Arthur Adamov is considered one of the best within avant-garde theatre. Similar to his other works, this paly deals with people’s loneliness and lack of meaning in life. Here the focus is the one-armed bandit that controls everybody. No one seems able to withdraw from the obsession that has taken hold and some use the machine for better and others for worse. Though either way, it appears pointless, as it leads absolutely nowhere.
