A glamorous, sophisticated and romantic comedy about the beautiful society girl Tracy Lord, who has left her husband Haven, and who is about to marry the wealthy Kittredge. A tabloid newspaper sends out a reporter and a photographer to cover the big party before the wedding. Tracy’s brother, who hopes to make them divert the public’s attention from a scandal Tracy’s father has caused, lets them in. Tracy is attracted to the fascinating journalist Conner, and whilst the party rages and the champagne flows, the two are to be found in the pool. The upcoming wedding is threatened.
