A challenging text about two mid aged actors who was once considered a Liz Taylor / Richard Burton like couple. She then married an affluent doctor, ended her acting career and moved to the South of France while he developed a severe alcoholic problem that meant that nobody wanted to work with him again. Now she has returned to help him with a comeback. The play’s a gift for two really good actors, who during the play acts different characters from the past and the present: they play themselves as young, as mature and as the characters in the play they’re rehearsing. She also plays a female colleague and he takes on the part as the boring, affluent doctor and husband.
