A daughter seeks out her mother, whom she has not seen in 20 years. With her, she has a prefabricated interview to be signed by the mother about the father, a high-ranking politician. After a failed murder attempt on him and a psychiatric sentence, the mother has withdrawn to a remote village, while the daughter now works for him. Is there, despite of the women's opposite outlooks on life and complete alienation of each other, a hope for a common understanding?
