For the first time in many years Marie visits her mother whom she left after a raging fight. She has brought her daydreaming friend Paul with her and does her best to avoid following the usual patterns. Paul, who is fascinated by the mother, begins to change. Gradually the atmosphere between the three becomes more and more uneasy, until Marie sees no other way out than escaping.
