The story is spread over a year and takes place in the past, the present and the future. Two actors play 8 different roles. Together they perform on 6 stages that create a circle as in Arthur Schnitzler’s “La Ronde”. The play begins and ends in the same hotel room and with the same characters. It is an extraordinarily entertaining comedy about sex, love, infidelity etc. In the first scene we encounter the bride Frances (31) and the groom Owen (33). Afterwards, we find ourselves in a kitchen with the spoilt but daunting wife Julia (32) and the handyman Kieran (29). Next scene takes place in a living room where Frances is having sex with businessman Russel (36). The story continues in an anonymous room where sales assistant Eleri (22) ends up with Owen from the first scene. In the fifth scene we are introduced to the mother and consultant oncologist Lorraine (39) and another businessman, Skinner (44), whilst Frances and Owen turn out the lights in the final scene. Great challenges for two actors!
