4 F / 4 M (1. part) 4 F / 3 M (2. part) 3 F / 3 M (3. part) A trilogy of plays that deal with the alchemy of a fisherman´s family and pose questions about different values of the generations, the changing attitude to work, freedom, and expectations for the future. In the first part the family, in spite of the efforts the mother makes, is on the verge of braking up. The father, who is a proud and stubborn man is still going out fishing, but is about to quit and find job onshore. The youngest son is dropping out of school and the elder son comes home unexpectedly from Copenhagen where he’s supposed to be studying. The second part focuses on the younger son living together with his teenage love in a rented apartment. He gets to know a woman artist, some ten years older, living on next floor. The play follows the young mans futile attempts at breaking free from his background. The third part of the Trilogy sheds light on the elder son, and his resignation and failure – and his final coming to terms with his father. The dialog is harsh and funny and the play was a great success with both the critics and the public.
