Maria was born and raised in a posh Copenhagen neighborhood with high ceilings, nudist parents, emotional and financial surplus. Mohamed was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, fled to Denmark and grew up in a provincial Danish town with the shadow of the flight and the war hanging over the family in a foreign country. Now they meet on the stage. MARIA AND MOHAMED is a collage in which Maria and Mohamed play each other in significant events and relationships in their respective lives. The scenes take place in a quivering sci-fi universe – an unknown territory for both of them. MARIA AND MOHAMED explores the lives of two people for the better or worse, and is a journey into the inner space.
