This musical is about the passionate love affair between the actress Mabel Normand and the film director Mack Sennett, who achieved recognition for, among other films, the first Chaplin movie. The story stretches from the early film days and up until 1938 where Sennett is forced to withdraw from the business due to new directions in the industry. Though despite his retreat he provides the show with a happy ending.
The show is written by one of Broadways most successful composers and writers, Jerry Herman and is certainly a splendid and expertly written narrative of the motion picture’s childhood.

Look what happend to Mabel,
Big time,
