In this play, Måvens wakes up after having been asleep for six years. His head feels completely empty until two grains of sand find their way in and shortly begin to backstab him. So as usual when life plays tricks on him, he starts writing his farewell letter but is saved, yet again, by the arrival of his friend Peder. Eventually, the two grains have multiplied and soon founded a miniature model of Christiania, where idealism flourishes alongside a growing natter about the small change situation.
