Måvens is in his candy shop, writing in his diary. Despite a strict diet he has gained 60 kg’s, and his life is hanging by a thread. Unexpectedly Peder from the school calls and Måvens’ life is turned around. Together they go to the local dive where they meet the interior decorator guru, Ingelise Hamdrup. She accompanies them to the candy shop and sees brand new possibilities in a kitchen living room which is bound to put Måvens’ life back on tracks. The kitchen living room enables you to play the main part in your own life and this is exactly what Måvens needs. His old foot cushion, globe, glass figurines, bed recess and rocking chair is removed and replaced with a fancy cooker hood, a magnet for knives and a lamp that can be pulled up and down. Måvens and Peder do not feel at home in the new kitchen and must eat in the outhouse. Something has to be done so Måvens can feel at home in the candy shop again.
