This is a kaleidoscopic drama, with scenes varying from the top of skyscrapers down to the bottom of third rate hotels. Its theme concerns the difficulty in becoming a proper, whole human with a warm and open emotional approach, when living in a big city environment, where one unfortunate look at a fellow citizen, can lead to unexpected violent abuse. We follow two waitresses, Lillian and Rose, on a night on the town, during which they learn a few lessons.
