The girls Lip, Cheek and Eye are friends spending every spare moment they have on the beach with umbrellas, towels, magazines and sunscreen. However, the whole thing is an imaginary world: Eye and Cheek are refugee children who have never seen a real beach and do not know about the carefree life under the sun. The sea is a backyard of concrete and the sky is gray. Lip has an affluent background, has visited the Côte d’Azur and knows nothing of fear and flight. Together, the different girls keep the utopia alive, defending their right to live a free and equal life. The friendship eventually forces the sun to emerge behind the clouds.
