1987 play written by Christopher Durang. The show is written for one actor and one actress and consists of three separate parts. There are two monologues, given first by the woman and then by the man, then a dream sequence where they play off each other. The woman's character is emotional and unstable, and talks about hitting someone in the supermarket who wouldn't get out of the way of the tuna fish she wanted to buy. The man's character talks about positive thinking, but keeps spiraling into negativity. He is a neurotic nebbish attempting to be happy. Additionally, he tries to make sense of getting hit at the supermarket by a crazy lady... LAUGHING WILD is a provocative and funny study on the perils and stresses of modern life in urban America.
