Robert and Jane are successful and hard-working business people. He is a bio biochemist and she is a fashion designer. They have a neglected son named Tom, and both parents expect a lot from him. Jane’s father, Alfred the teller of fairytales, is the only one interested in Tom, and he is also the one who gains his trust. Tom invents two surrogate parents, a he- and a she robot, which will soon make the busy parents will realise that something may be missing in their relationship to Tom.
