Caused by his anxiety and lack of self-esteem, a troubled middle-class man hates all exterior; always believing that “the others” will take away what he doesn’t claim for himself. He accuses others who do not belong to his own family, of ruining and consciously sabotaging all the values that he, in reality has forgotten himself. This story has been updated, respecting the language and storyline of Holberg, and it is a sharp, grotesque satire on a completely ordinary man with his comfortable hate towards “the others”.
